Rob Tobias (and Friends) performances include original songs from his 5 CDs, as well as new compositions. Performances also include standards in folk, blues, as well as spirituals.
Rob and Ralph team up to play as a duo called Northwest Express. "Rob & The Blueside" play the bluesier side of Rob's music and includes Natty on bass, Ralph on guitar, and Jimmy on drums. Being a huge Beatle fan, Rob has organized The Maya Love Band with Jeremy Wegner, Jerry Zybach, Larry Lynch, and others to play George Harrison and John Lennon Tributes. Rob plays solo piano for special occasions and has written commisioned songs/music for film/video and special events.
Rob also uses his improvisation skills and has been known to make up songs on this spot as he does as part of his Singing Alive song circles, Playback Theatre performances and workshops.
